Common Sense Cowboy Logic
I have been a cowboy my whole life. I live on a ranch with my wife, surrounded by God's beauty. We enjoy taking care of animals, especially horses. I have trained many horses and competed in countless horse shows. I have taught many people to ride, starting as a teen working at a horse camp for kids, and later as a 4-H leader. Horses need to trust their riders to have a good partnership. Trust has to be earned. I also enjoy helping people. Mostly, I try to be a good friend, but I do come equipped with some pertinent education and experience to qualify me as a life coach. Among other things, I had some success as an athlete, which requires the discipline of training and maximum effort. Related to that, I worked as recreation director at a residential treatment facility for troubled youth, running the gym program. Also, I am a Christian. I spent some time in seminary, including actual pastoral care, counseling college students in a campus ministry. My career for decades was practicing law, advocating for injured people, as well as acting as a mediator, for which I have training in Christian conciliation. (Now that I am retired, I may not give legal advice). I taught a college course in Alternative Dispute Resolution, including arbitration and mediation. I have worked in a mental health facility with a variety of patients. I especially enjoyed leading groups. I held a position called Patient Advocate. When my children were teens, I wrote a book entitled Suggestions from a Searcher. It was distributed beyond family members and is available to my life coaching clients. During my life, I have earned the trust of horses, dogs, jurors, and clients. I'd appreciate the chance to earn your trust by results-oriented life coaching. I promise to shoot straight with you.
